Join us for an Artist Talk with Mary Payton at the show “What You Don’t See”, where she will speak about her art and process and what art means to her. If you didn’t have a chance to join Opening Reception we had at the end of May, you can see the show and meet the artist this time!
Mary uses her unique eye sight condition as a tool to create vivid and involved paintings.
Recent work found her caught up in an exploration of her unique visual experiences, striving to convey what it feels like to be trapped inside of the filter of her brain.
She hopes for individuals to find landscapes, animals, people, or objects among the chaos of dots and fragments of color.
