Join us for an Opening Reception of “What You Don’t See”, where we will share with you art by South Dakota fine artist Mary Payton.
Mary uses her unique eye sight condition as a tool to create vivid and involved paintings.
Recent work found her caught up in an exploration of her unique visual experiences, striving to convey what it feels like to be trapped inside of the filter of her brain.
She hopes for individuals to find landscapes, animals, people, or objects among the chaos of dots and fragments of color.
