We would like to invite you to a gallery tour of SIMPLE SHORT STORIES, an exhibition of 12 beautiful new works by France Jodoin at the Thompson Landry Gallery, November 23, 2021 from 2pm – 3pm EST.
Sea and land blend. Skies and cityscapes blur. Time and borders fall away. In these settings, the distractions of everyday contemporary life give way to atmospheric spaces where the mind is, quite simply, free to imagine.
“Everyone has a story to tell, and so often their stories inform how they view the world – including the art they see. I want people to take a moment to imagine what might be happening in my paintings. I want people to connect with my work in a visceral way and to bring their own interpretation to it, rather than to present them with a completed story.”
France`s work is motivated by many of her experiences, dreams, and imaginings. What emerges on the canvas is serene and contemplative; places that inspire stories.
