Artistic Horizons

Strathcona County has a vibrant and cultural arts community with many artisans, which is not commonly known; we are working to change this. Artistic Horizons is an event held by the Arts & Culture Council of Strathcona County (ACCSC) in collaboration with MacEwan University students. The event will share works of art and stories from local artisans, promoting the importance of local art and investment in it within the community. The highlight of the event will feature a VR Art Gallery component, presenting a new, innovative way of displaying art in a way that is accessible from anywhere. @accsc_strathcona_county for instagram and info@accsc.ca on facebook.

“Teatime with Demons” – Artist Talk with Jai Mitchell

Come see unique, deeply provocative and deeply profound pieces created by Jai Mitchell for Book Four of "The Reckoning Series" by Jeff Pierce (actor "The Last of Us") and bring your questions for this talented and very humble artist. Jai will share the stories of working with Jeffrey Pierce through the series of four books and answer pretty much any question you may throw at him.

We have started with an Exhibition Tour on November 2 and will go deeper into the stories and the art along with them at Jai's Artist Talk on November 16th.
Don't miss this. Attendance does not require any attire, so no excuses to not be there!
